Artist
Rabbi
Weinrib has exhibited and lectured internationally, and
has been commissioned to design presentation awards for
numerous Jewish organizations, as well as heads of state.
His work is found in prestigious museums, galleries and
private collections around the world.
The
Artistic Team
In
this historic endeavor on The Illuminated Torah,
Rabbi Weinrib is working closely with a skilled team from
ArtChazin in Israel, headed by Avraham Chazin. This international
collaboration has drawn upon the multi-faceted talents
of a team of artists and craftsmen dedicated to traditional
motifs and style, combined with contemporary art techniques.
By merging traditional methods of artistic execution and
design, with state-of-the art production technology, the
final product is a synthesis of both worlds. In a staggering
array of media, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, pen and
ink, airbrush and laser cuts have been used to reflect
the multi-dimensional layers of interpretation used in
the Torah project.
Rabbi
Weinrib’s creative design, art direction, craftsmanship
and scholarship is evident in every page of this magnum
opus. A team of scholars and editors has been assembled
to ensure the accuracy of the translation and commentary,
and to ensure fidelity to tradition in the visual arena.
Introductory essays and treatises on subjects relevant
to the individual parshah and the project will be added
to further the expansive scope of the work. |
